Our Mission

Hi, I'm Juliet.

For years I was told my ADHD was "just a personality trait." I believed it for a long time, mostly because the alternative felt scarier than the explanation I'd been given. The anxiety. The perfectionism. The burnout. The guilt sitting under everything. I figured that was just me being bad at being a person.

It wasn't. My college therapist saw the pattern, said it out loud, and pointed me toward a psychiatrist. Getting in with that psychiatrist was hard, and it was expensive, and it took a long time. It also changed my life. The diagnosis was inattentive ADHD. For the first time, I understood that there was nothing fundamentally wrong with me. My brain just works a little differently.

The Nook exists because I don't want it to take you that long to know that about yourself.

Why this place exists

Women with ADHD and autism get diagnosed years, sometimes decades, later than men. That's not because we're harder to spot. It's because most of the foundational research was done on boys, and women tend to present more internally. Our symptoms get missed, dismissed, or pinned on something else: anxiety, hormones, perfectionism, or a personality flaw.

The cost of that gap is real. It's our self-trust. Our health. Our years. Our sense that we're allowed to take up space.

The NeuroSpicy Nook exists to help close that gap. To put soft, useful, well-loved tools in your hands. To give you a place that isn't trying to fix you. And to be the friend you should've had a lot sooner.

What you'll find here

Curated and in-house fidgets that actually feel good in your hand. Planners and digital downloads built for ADHD brains. Apparel that says what we wish more people understood. And a small, soft community of women who get it without you having to explain.

You're not too much. You're not behind. You're just here, and that's enough.
