About

Hi! My name is Juliet Penrod and I am the founder of The NeuroSpicy Nook. I am currently an MBA student at Baldwin Wallace University. Recently, I've noticed there is a huge lack of support for neurodivergence, especially for people who aren't kids! And I wanted to create this space for people to come for tons of resources and a shared community.

Women in particular are severely under-diagnosed for mental illnesses and things like ADHD and autism. This is because many of the current diagnostic tools are structured around the symptoms experienced by cisgender white males. Neurodivergence in general is also seen as childish or things only children experience. That's simply not true. So relax, settle in, and enjoy a virtual cup of what The NeuroSpicy Nook has to offer. This is a cozy corner of the internet for anyone looking to learn, grow, and get useful stuff. You are not alone!
